What an exciting start to the year. The first quarter of it is just now passing but it feels like we just started.

So, have I been reading as much this year as in 2020? You bet. Have I had an opportunity to post my thoughts on the books as often as I’d like? Unfortunately not.

Between a lack of both time and insightful commentary on the books I’ve been reading I haven’t had a whole lot of motivation to post recently but I’m working on turning that around. I’ve kept on track with reading one book per week, just as I had been for my 2020 New Years resolution, and despite not keeping the same goal for myself this year I’ve naturally kept the pace. Once I realized that, I became remotivated to create content and start sharing my thoughts again.

I’m back to the grind of adding books to my collection and still hitting the backlog hard. Most recently I’ve added Fight Club by Chuck Pahlaniuk to my list of read books, and I’ve got to say I was pleasantly surprised. Fight Club is the first book I’ve read by the author, and it’s clear why producers chose to adapt this book to film. Palahniuk’s direct writing style and intense dialogue are worthy of screen time both in your mind and on the screen.

I’ll be more vigilant in posting here in the future and would like to invite anyone interested to go check out my latest thrift store book haul here:
